This unusual and unique artwork features the colourful houses of Bristol, with hot air balloons flying overhead. The picture is made using art glass including powders and frit, to create the unique and interesting play of colours and shapes. The piece is then fired to over 800 degrees celcius, fusing together all the pieces into one solid picture. The main picture is mounted on a box frame, then there is a balloon made from coloured transparent glass mounted on the front of the frame, giving a layered effect and adding interest.
